About Me And My Blog

But these really are my glasses.
I am a bookshelver. I am also a cashier, an organizer, a consultant, a mental scolder, and an (un)appreciated maid at a national bookstore chain.

Other than that, I really can't share very much, seeing as I sometimes talk about work. I'm not anti-establishment or even dissatisfied with my job, but I figure the fewer questions from my bosses the better. Also, if I just came out and said "I work at [enter bookstore brand here], then you couldn't pretend that I'm really at a bookstore near you. Plus, it's fun to be mysterious.

I started Bookshelvers Anonymous on January 28, 2012, as a way to alleviate internal pressure, because there are too many wonderful books in the world to remain silent! I follow so many book blogs (by other shelvers, agents, publishers, editors, authors, bored college students, etc.), and I felt like I was going to burst if I couldn't join the conversation in some way.

I posted my first non-introductory post January 29 (about Mr. Lessmore and his flying books), reviewed my first book February 7 (Shatter Me), received my first comment on February 14 (regarding my love letter to MWT), and have been slowly hitting milestones ever since.

I'm not sure I'll ever feel like I know what I'm doing, but that's okay. I'm enjoying myself, and I look forward to reading and learning along with all of you.
