Two Big Things

I think I owe you all another giveaway roundup for you to devour, but that's not what this is. Instead, I have for you two REALLY BIG GIVEAWAYS that deserve your attention.

First up is Miriam Forster's 30 Days of Bookery Contest(s). Ms. Forster, in case you didn't know, is the author of the soon-to-be-released City of a Thousand Dolls.
Nisha was abandoned at the gates of the City of a Thousand Dolls when she was just a child. Now sixteen, she lives on the grounds of the isolated estate, where orphan girls apprentice as musicians, healers, courtesans, and, if the rumors are true, assassins. Nisha makes her way as Matron’s assistant, her closest companions the mysterious cats that trail her shadow. Only when she begins a forbidden flirtation with the city’s handsome young courier does she let herself imagine a life outside the walls. Until one by one, girls around her start to die.

Before she becomes the next victim, Nisha decides to uncover the secrets that surround the girls’ deaths. But by getting involved, Nisha jeopardizes not only her own future in the City of a Thousand Dolls—but her own life.
I want it, but that's beside the point. To celebrate her book's release, Ms. Forster is giving away one book a day for thirty days. That's right, thirty chances to win! She has a delightful mix of adult, YA, and MG books, and, based on the picture she posted, these aren't chump prizes either. I spot Days of Blood and Starlight, Cinder, Mila 2.0, Dark Triumph(!!!!!!), and many more.

Amazing, right? To get in on all the awesomesauce, go here.

But wait, there's more!

The second matter of note is the YA2U contest. Five authors - Marissa Meyer, Victoria Schwab, Beth Revis, Marie Lu, and Megan Shepherd - are going on tour, and they want YOU to tell them why they should come to your hometown.

That's right. Go to the website. Vote for your hometown. I'd pitch you my own hometown if I could, I must remain within the shroud of anonymity. The city with the most votes wins a visit from all five authors. That means time to talk with them, get your book signed, bask in their glow, etc. While you're there, you can also enter to win SIGNED copies of their books!

I know, I know. Pick your jaw off the floor and get a move on! Both of these contests have deadlines. Each of the contests within Ms. Forster's big contests only lasts a week, and the YA2U entries are only allowed until February 15.
